Spring Has Nearly Sprung

Poem by: Philip H20s

Summary

Ok a little premature I know, but I love the shift to spring and am already noticing some flowers are blooming early.

The first roasted flakes of cinnamon fall

melting the drama of cold

Baked and filling the air with fruit

they form a carpet of bloom

The dark cave of winter

crumbles under the arrival of new life

Roots break free of soil

and breathe the smell of change

A scent so strong

we can not avoid the sweet taste of Spring
