Towards The Endless Spell

Poem by: Philip H20s

Summary

Caught up in nature, this was written as I sat on bench on the banks of a lake, after a run it must be said.

A single pair of erratic wings

feed the air a demonic laugh

Then the duck without grace

crashes the unprepared water

A regal pair of love soaked swans

glidethe rippled lake of reflection

Their aimless journey stirs

envy in my admiring soul

My over dressed skeleton

stapled to a water side bench

Elderly trees view the structure

as their unsteady future defined

A breeze waves across the lake

a wand revealing the magic of nature

I let the cold air reinvent all I am

guiding me towards the endless spell
