We are all guilty

Poem by: Philip H20s

Summary

The strong belief that we are all born good, and it is the world we deliver our children into that can turn them bad. WE have to accept some blame each and everyone of us.

The calm and clean new beating heart

Instinctive to the reward of helping others

The rhythm of innocence taps into the pool of human kinship

But can we recognize the drum of unselfish love

A raging sea of disgruntled humanity

Forgets its innate humble message

The story we are born to tell

Is alas now a miss told tale nobody can truly quote

But yet daily every child delivered

Offers a chance of change

But what chance that the human race

Can be reminded it never was a competitive sprint

Arrows of poison brew through school, television and maybe you

The strength of goodness we dilute all too soon

We must all accept that we are all guilty

Some must accept their guilt is such, it is evil
