Strength of the rainbow
finally waned
Colours departed
trace of gold remained
Lace strained rain
began to settle
I gathered in my arms
the precious metal
Heavy I struggle
to remove from the scene
Every nugget
that sparkled clean
With skip and whistle
popped cork and drank
Dragging our haul
to the vaults of our bank
