Plants with the life force
And the mobility of,
Animals at hunt.

Slithering like snakes
They wrap around the necks to,
Throttle human prey.

Moss that closes upon
Passers-by like a stomach,
Closing round its food.

Growing through rib cages
Into bony mouths, then out
Empty eye sockets.

Bones glowing whitely
Startlingly in contrast to,
The dull, mossy green.
