On my knees

I beg you

Please!

As your hand reaches

Through skin

And bone

And blood

Til it stops my heart

And light turns dark.

All around

I hear no

Sound!

As you look upon

My still

And cold

And pallid

Corpse so feeble.

As I lay in my

Death

I have a sick

Smile

On my pathetic

Face.

I loved you

I did

And even as you

Held my

Heart

In your hands

I smiled to know

It was you that held it

Last.
