Cigarette in hand

I ask you won't you be my man

You say not with all

Your imperfections.

I toss it aside and smile

Just maybe for a little while?

You laugh and shake your head a bit

Baby, it just isn't worth it.

I frown and down another puff

Isn't who I am enough?

You sigh and look up to the sky

And say no way, not on this day.

I take a swig of another cig

My flaws aren't really all that big!

You shrug and turn away from me

Baby we just shouldn't be.
