Shooting Star

'Way out in the open you fly,

With the glow that makes other stars still?

Watch as you soar by,

Riding the curves of a hill.

Strengthening others with an unstoppable resolve,

Shooting Star

List'n to the wind as it rushes to a stand,

Not even the air can resist the impossible hand.

Blazing a trail through the night,

Shooting star

Weaving the ink of light through the dark meshes of night.

(whew, I'm back....and with a new poem, too! 3/2/08)

Deception

The Boston Massacre,

The Political Cartoons,

What do we know of these?

Only clever deception.

The Iraq War,

Politicians,

Afganistan,

The Truth? Nevermore,

Promises,

Commitments,

Integrity,

Only Deception, nothing more.

Meaningless Meaning

You walk upon the endless trail,

Questioning a question.

An answer for an answer,

Shall you ever go on?

Living death and a neverending quandary with an answer.

Weak strength,

Cheerful sorrow.

When will the endless trail ever end?

The answer is simple-

for it is simply the answer.
