I sit in my corner on my bed, waiting to fall asleep.
“Will you be okay there?” you ask…
NO!!! I want to yell.
I want to yell that I want you to hold me.
I want to yell that I want you to lie with me.
I want to beg you to hold my hand.
I want to beg you to sing with me.
I want to ask if you could ever feel for me this way.
I want to ask if you could laugh with me.
I want to tell you that I might just love you…
I want to hear you say that you might just love me.
But I sit here in my corner, ready for bed.
I flash you a smile.
“Thanks man. I’ll be okay.”
