Young Flower

I longed for your embrace

Your warmth so overwhelming

Hailed from heaven, in faultless grace.

****

A young flower in early springtime.

Bloomed only for him, with a perfume so enticing.

But he was the rain that poured too strong

Instead of summertime love

She welcomed an early autumn

Her beautiful petals gave in to the wind

And joined the brown tree leafs

In their airborne masquerade.

December now seemed like the bitter solace

Will it bestow her hope, or her end?

****

I longed for your embrace

Your voice so vitalizing

We might never speak again, but I’ll never forget it.
