I suddenly appeared in a dark forest and find a tree which opens a path to a room where I meet the evil lord.

It was a dark and miserable night, a night like no other. The moon’s sinister light and the empty forests were perfect. But when I came to think about it, I had no idea of how I actually got there. I looked in all directions but all I could see were trees lit up by the extraordinary moon. When I got to my senses I knew I should cry for help but for some strange reason, I didn’t.

I felt like I was meant to be there, as if it was a sign from God himself but I didn’t know what the purpose was. I wanted to explore the forest so under the excuse of finding clues as to why I was there I set off.

After about twenty minutes had passed I had found nothing and completely lost my way back. But it’s not as if finding my way back to the start would change anything. I was on the verge of giving up and leaving myself to get eaten by the wildlife until I saw a rather obscure tree, specifically the branches. None of the colours had matched any trees around and the branches looked like cheap plastic. The stupid teen I was, I wanted to investigate.

I started to climb it with the thought that I could find some clues while having height to my advantage although I was unsuccessful. I was thinking of other ways that I could do something until I saw a small branch by the top of the tree with no leaf to be seen. I decided to come back up and pull on it.

As soon as I pulled the branch I heard something move in the ground below me. The lower down the tree I got, the sound was louder until I could feel it beneath my very feet. A couple of seconds after I got down I saw a strange opening on the side of a hill which I could swear  wasn’t there before. I got nervous and I didn’t want to enter but something in my mind made me think that it would be a good idea.

As soon as I entered this majestic opening, it closed on me so I had no way to get out. I had nothing to do but to walk forward. The time inside of that opening wouldn’t be that bad if it wasn’t for the terrible stench, the damp vines and the thousands of rats that have made it their home. I was walking for approximately fifteen minutes in all of that until I was shocked by the sheer size of the room I entered.

The room suddenly filled itself with a deep red colour that was slightly dark and a voice of an unimaginably low pitch. The voice said the following. “When I was young they called me a fraud, a nothing. They treated me like shit so in revenge I made a joke of their miserable afterlife.” I couldn’t understand why I was chosen for this speech nor did I understand what the voice was talking about. I didn’t want to interrupt it thinking that I would end me so I kept quiet as he went on. “I am the power that you could never be. I was a human with such great power that even the lord was scared of me. I didn’t blame him but he tried to get rid of me, so I got rid of him in return.”

“I have been observing you and I think you’ve got what it takes to be on my side. Join or get eliminated!” I had no choice but to accept the offer, so I did. I wanted to ask him why I was chosen out of the seven and a half billion people on the planet but I didn’t want to anger him.

From that day on I was forced to commit terrible crimes like murder and theft but I somehow got away with it all. I still don’t know if it was the voice’s powers or sheer luck. Nevertheless I did it anyway.
