If your a a struggling poet

Like you feel but can't yet show it

Know that not having verse

Is not necessarily a curse

You feel things so intensely

And wish to express immensely

But emotions won't take shape

Before their written words escape

You may just need time

To learn how to rhyme

So what I recommend

Your resolve do not bend!

Words may start as a trickle

Like just a brain tickle

You might only get a line

Before it leaves your mind

Go about you day

In the needed way

But to that line return

Let in internally churn

Perhaps then a second

From you brains depth beckoned

The flow may be inclined

To extricate your mind

Even if it feels strange

Push the limits of your range

And of others read

In learning you'll succeed

Words take persuasion

Either theirs none or an invasion

Just take them as they come

They will reach their sum

Poems start with feeling

And a bit of luck dealing

If you have the heart

The words will do their part

SOME DAY

ONE WAY

YOU'LL SAY

HEY!!!

I wrote a poem!

PS From personal experience, when the words won't flow putting my feet higher then my head can help.
