A tribut to a much beloved friend of mine, who was lost to the summer.

Yeah, I know I'm screwed up.

A Tribute to a Lost Friend

Hold my hand,

And hold me tight,

Don’t let go,

Sing me a song,

Sing as if,

It was the only thing you can do,

Hug me again,

As if I’d fall apart if you didn’t,

I miss your arms,

Talk to me,

As if these words,

Meant something,

Walk with me,

As if this was your last walk

Like we once did,

Tell me,

Your deepest, darkest secrets,

As if no one else knew,

Read with me,

The words,

The sweet words of friendship,

Write to me,

What we never finished,

And never will,

Send me,

The love from where you are,

You were my only love,

Teach me,

What I didn’t learn,

Because I didn’t know

Bring me,

The light from where you are,

The rays don’t reach me

Love me,

No on else ever did,

I’m numb without you

Whisper to me,

Under the willow tree,

Like we used to,

In the summer of the third grade
