Into Death's Arms

As I drift into dark

Your eyes awake me within

Not the calling of a lark

But the calling of a sin

You take my ice cold hand

And forget the smell of a heart’s decay

Something only you can withstand

And you banish me from where I lay

You look me in the eyes

To let me see

And that moment I despise

Where everything is free

You hold me and we fly

Picking up the slain

Away from the sky

Away from pain

I know you are Death

And you take souls for your own gain

When there is nothing left

But cold bitter pain

Though Death has saved me

Whenyou took me by your wings

Even there is no glee

Yet Deathstill sings

When I asked my love to stay

And then my lover hid

When I asked Death to take me away

You did

Youlays me on stone

My final bed

I’ve already flown

Its time to be dead

One last hug from Death

And one final kiss

Yousteal my breathe

Whether taboo or bliss

Another look

Into cold gloomy eyes

The is a look of life

To my surprise

Not just strife

My angel of dark

My true love

The one that did not hark

The one that sent back the dove

That last embrace that left me dead

Decided my after-after life

In the mist we wed

I became Death’s wife

But yougive me love

And just like war

Just like the dove

I always come back for more

Even Death, has a heart
