Lies I’ve Told Myself

I’ve lied,

Not to you,

But to myself

You’ve never been “the one”,

I just want to say,

We’re done

But I’ve lied that everything’s okay,

But it’s not,

I’m not

How long can I live?

With black eyes,

And a broken heart

I thought that eventually,

We’d fall in love,

A happy ending

But that’s not this,

This is Hell,

And you’re the Devil himself

I’m a princess trapped in the castle,

You’re the dragon,

With fists of fire

Lies build up,

And become disguise,

Of your real feelings

I lost my chances of a better life,

And now I’m losing my mind,

I’m losing my life,

If only I could lose you…
