Penetrating

You watch

As I lay

Unmoving

The smile

That creeps on your face

Makes me cold

Your eyes

They gleam

With pride

My eyes

They tear

Because I trusted you

I should have known

When you said

That you loved me

What is love?

I thought I knew once

I guess I was wrong

Too many days

Too many lies

Twelve stabs

You hold the dagger

In your hand

Above my head

But the real dagger

Is twisted

In my heart

Your face

Your smile

It haunts me

It’s been to long

Before the knife comes down

I’ll be gone
