the pain I bring and sing

I revel in the pain I would bring

to the men of my ancestors

as I reverse their god.

I question until I burn.

I drown for femininity and pledging honesty.

No certainty, instead choosing to wonder

deciding to be open to others

guiding my heart to the possibility of

nothing, dirt, hair in a casket.

Your religion is a pill.

It flows to the sewer as I relish in pride

for my ability to be unique

surviving and deflecting the majority

symbols are insignificant yet piercing

guiding me to a closed heart to fate. And faith

will never be a part of me

unless I find myself on a bridge.
