Dear diary, Today my mega-cute crush, dream boyfriend was walking some other girl home today. I had planned for weeks in the mirror. Deciding on what I was going to say and how to say it. This was going to be my big moment and that other girl just pooped out no where and took him away. I swear I could see an evil aura crawl out of that girl and grin at me as she snickered off, in her mind. I was devastated, devastated I tell you.

Sincerely, Taylor

Ever since I was a little girl I have always hated rainy days. Then, when walking to my new school. On a rainy day of course. My prince of sunshine appeared. He carried a golden umbrella above my head and walked me to the castle. The prince and I have been connected ever since. For he saved me from the acid rain that poured on to of me. Me, poor me, with no umbrella of my own.

Then a savior appears and ever since then I have longed for more rainy days to appear. Cause when the right time came, I would confess to my prince the same way we first met. Under a clouded sky, when the heavens cried. Oh, what more could a high school girl in love ask for? I did not no. The only thing I did know was there was another girl on the hunt for a prince and she had her eyes on mine.

I decided to follow them both, until the girl was dropped off. Then I would run up to my prince as if I needed something, or was in distress. Hopefully the girls house was before Joe’s, aka the prince. Then suddenly, without anticipation, my whole world fell apart. For both Joe and the girl had stepped into the same house. Joe’s house. I walked to the walkway in front of the house and stared. I could feel the tears flowing through me, until they reached my eyes. The rain was hard, but the throbbing in my heart was worse. This event couldn’t only mean one thing, they were a thing. I had lost the war. Then the front door started to slide open. In a panic I dropped my umbrella and ran straight home.

Dear diary, I can’t seem to stop crying. I don’t know what’s come over me. I mean, he was my first, but there’s always more. Isn’t there? I don’t know what to do or say the next time I see him. Although, right now I’m tired and soaked from head to toe. I think I might be getting a cold as well. The last thing is I can’t seem to find my umbrella. I’ve looked everywhere. I wonder where it could be?

Sincerely, Taylor

The next day after school. I ran into Joe talking with his new girlfriend. I hide behind a tree, close enough to listen in. “So I’ll see you when I get home, right?”

“All right, but why are you not coming home with me?”

“I found this umbrella the other day and I wanted to look around for the owner.” An umbrella? It couldn’t be could it? “All right, see you later than.” The girl walked off. I was able to get a good look at her as well. She had long, light brown hair and was a few inches shorter than me. I had to admit she was pretty cute, but still. We were enemies.

Then I remembered the umbrella Joe was talking about. I slide out of my hiding place, but Joe had already left the school grounds.

I rushed to look for him. Every street, every ally, every store, on every block, but still no sign of Joe. It was getting late. The sky was turning grey as clouds rolled in. There seemed to be a high chance of rain and with out my umbrella I knew my cold would get worse. I started to head home when a thought popped into my mind, what if Joe had gotten lost. Joe was always on to be the heroic type. He never gave up on something, no matter how small the deed. That’s another thing I just love about him. Wait, no time for girlish day dreams. I have to find Joe.

I decided to check near the river. When ever Joe needed to think things over he would usually go there. When I arrived, it had already begun to rain, but Joe was there. He had his own umbrella and was holding mine in the other hand. Then with out thought I shouted out, “Joe!” Joe immediately turned around. “Joe, I’m so happy I found you.”

“Taylor? What are you doing here?” I paused for a second. What should I tell him? Should I tell him the truth or make up some cunning lie. No if I really did love him I would tell him the truth, the whole truth. “Joe I came because I over heard you and your girlfriend taking. You told her you were going to stick around and look for the owner of that umbrella, which is mine by the way, but that isn’t the point. The point is I really like you, I mean really, really like you.” My face was hot, almost on fire. I was really embarrassed, but it felt good to get that off my chest. Although, I knew my confession wouldn’t change anything, but still.

Then I heard someone laughing. I raised my head and noticed it was Joe. He had a big smile on his face and was laughing. “Why are you laughing you jerk?” I was really upset. I had just confessed my undying love to this so called prince and all he can do is laugh about it. Rude much! “It’s not that, it’s just that that girl isn’t my girl friend.”

“She isn’t?”

“No she’s my little sister, Kate.” Oh my gosh! I had no idea Joe even had a sister. “I’m sorry, I didn’t know.” Now I was even more embarrassed. Then Joe reached over and gave me my umbrella back. “Here, you might want this before your cold gets worse.” Then me and Joe walked home together, both holding hands and smiling.
