A poem about the memories of how much pain I experienced when my first love dumped me last year.

Every waking second that passes, your memory vexes my cerebellum

I have attempted every technique available to eliminate your lovely face

You have long since exonerated us, yet like a cretin I continue to saunter

Why won't you evaporate and leave me to rejuvenate my inner peace?

With every breath I take, I taste the bitter yet sweet essence of you

Oh my dearly beloved why do I still possess this deep level of affection?

For you after all the hell that I have had to sustain just to keep us ablaze

The gift that you once gave me was one of a rare yet amazing nature

But it has faded and I have been left with the imprint of a harrowing scar

Lady Wolf

You have an eloquence to your writing that is lost on many writers lately. Bravo on your descriptions and I'm sorry for the loss of someone you loved.
