A A A

I'd trade these good intentions,

For a night of perfect rest.

The silence keeps me steady,

Though you think of me as less.

This will be over quickly,

Don't you look her in the eyes.

Her vessel's bleeding empty,

But you're practiced at goodbyes.

Solitude's your savior,

You were built to be alone.

Hiding in the shadows,

You've made yourself a home.

The weight of every need,

Has cast a burden on your soul.

The water underneath,

You have got to let her go.

Drowning with the spirit,

They'll find her body new.

Questions to be answered,

Every riddle points at you.

Turn away the monsters,

That are screaming in your head.

The voices beg for life,

And they're crying to be fed.

Lock the cage and keep them,

Contained within the skin.

And never turn the key,

Unless you find your love again.

Drowning with the spirit,

They'll find her body new.

Questions to be answered,

Every riddle points at you.

Swimming with the spirit,

Your skin looks brand new.

Hiding in the shadows,

Every riddle points at you.

I'd trade these good intentions,

For a night of perfect rest.
