Fearing to Dream (Poem by PoetPen)

Holding on to things

That are not there

Watching our dreams float by
Without enough energy to care

We won't reach out

And take grasp

Of the things that are right there

Reasons pile up

In the closets of our minds

Fear dredged down deep

In an ocean of dreams

We don't see how easy

It'd be just to let go

And grab hold the things

We've feared to dream of

And when they come by

We won't take hold
