8th grade asignment was to write a poem about fire. I had a different view than the rest of my class.

Flickering Flame

The gentlest light from a glowing flame
Shone on the walls, without shyness or shame.
It danced to a tune that I strained to hear,
And whispered, it told me I had nothing to fear.
It’s contained by the wax in that tiny glass jar.
This flickering flame isn’t traveling far.
