I’ve been down in the dumps
Lower than low
But things will get better
That’s one thing I know
Time heals everything
That’s what’s been said
I don’t know if I trust it
But I’m losing my head
She drinks and does drugs
Tries to numb out the pain
But nothing can help her
She’s trapped once again
She’s had more than enough
She looks at the knife
And not for the first time
She wants to take her own life
She picks it up high
And drags it over the scars
Deeper and deeper
Just aiming to cause harm
The blood’s spurting out
It’s one great big mess
She falls down to her knees
And dies on her chest
Why do it? They cry
Her family, her friends
She had everything to live for
Now they can’t make amends
Memories cause pain
They can’t bring her back
Everyone’s hurting
And she couldn’t give a crap
It was her decision to make
A means to an ends
But it was never just her life
It was her family’s, her friends
