We sit parallel to the glistening pool

Eyes transfixed, minds unaware

All that has happened here

All the mundane

We talk

My lies spun from the poison of a weak mind and a weaker soul

Tensions sliced through by a lack of awareness

It would have been beautiful,

If it wasn't so ridiculous.
