A poem about posing.

I look at this would be city

It's cobbled lanes and deep grey walls

The lonely labyrinth of alleyways

Threatening to all except those who haunt them

The tunnels slipped into side streets

I have stumbled in the arms of them

Dressed up as would-be men

And I a damsel in disguise

We masquerade like our environment.
