You know when you’ve hit that point of no return,
When your heart beats fast and your stomach churns,
When your eyes flutter and your words stutter,
When he says something and you just mutter,
You check for an imperfection for the hundredth time,
And look to see if anyone’s looking, like you’re committing a crime.
Because you feel you are, as you talk and look at him,
And when you just want to kiss his every limb,
And when he grabs your face with such passion and lust,
A kiss is all that’s needed, a kiss is a must,
But you sigh and let his hands fall,
You’ve been here before,
You’ve already waited all night for his call,
You stood and watched the locked door,
You walk away, and never look back at the boy you want so much,
You try not to cry but all you want is his tender touch,
The only thing that’s lacking right now is the will power to not cry,
And you question every moment, every text, every possibility, why?
There’s nothing you can do, you can’t change his mind,
But you’ve tried and you’ve tried and there’s nothing but mean to find,
So maybe you like the mean, the sarcasm, the boy,
But he doesn’t love you, you’re just his toy.
