Chapter 1

As I kept along the path, my mind began to wonder, I always do that when I’m bored. I was always able to survive in harsh conditions, people said I couldn't, one key to my never ending survival is to be aware of my surroundings and the ability to adapt to the environment. How I can only explain by the harsh radioactive rays, the animals have been transformed. What used to be normal animals, they have developed long claws, teeth, and vicious personalities. Ever since 2046, well that’s what I learned in school, the world tried to put an end to pollution. We were close, but a new power source was found deep inside the earth. A new fossil fuel that raised the energy output of other fossil fuels by 400%.

Although, the after effects were unrecognizable at first, but quickly damaged parts of Earth’s atmosphere, slowly shaping today’s world. I don’t like the desert, but I like time to think to myself, after all it is one of the only things to do after our schooling. Afterwards, I was always trying to seek more knowledge through whatever I can, whether through text in books or through the internet. I am expected, by society to get married and start a family, as soon as I am done with my schooling. I am always reminded of how I am supposed to be, that is probably why I am so rebellious, just like my father.

The lights of the city were coming into view, and made myself more energetic to get back into town. My life has always been crazy, but now with a bounty on my head, my life has becoming increasingly drastic. My father has been working on a important project that he says I can’t know, saying, “I already gotten you in enough trouble.” I don’t know how that’s possible, because I am the one who is avoiding the authority. I don’t know but that kind of scares me how, apparently, I’m on the good end of the deal. I was getting closer into town only minutes away. Now, all I have to do is go into town, and deliver the part.
