Dear Future Boyfriend,

I wonder if I already know you or have yet to meet you. Either way, I know I think about you all the time. I know you are out there, because I can feel your presence when I close my eyes.

I want you to respect and love me with all your heart.

You don’t need to be somebody else just to impress me, I would like it more if you’ll simply be yourself. I like you for who you are anyway.

I wish that you’d be able to stare straight into my heart. I want you to see the real me.

I’m insecure. I’m a little weird. I have good days & bad days. I am annoying. Sometimes, I’ll cry over stupid things. I’ll get angry. I’ll get sad. I’m stubborn. There are thousand of things that I don’t like about myself, but I want you to love them.

All I really want is someone who can make me smile, who can talk to my parents and tell them how much he loves and respect me, who will hold my hand when I need it, and pick up the phone at 3am when I need to cry.

I’m hoping that you’ll fight me when I’ve become too much to handle. I’m hoping that you’ll want me bad enough to be able to convince me to stay when I thought about leaving. I wish that someday, I’ll be able to share these fears with you and that you’ll hold me tight, promising that you will never leave me, that we’re all in this together.

Your voice will be my favorite song.

Your arms will be my home.

I want you to make me feel special. Tell me I’m cute eventhough I look like a mess. Listen to my stories even when you’re sleepy.

I know we won’t have a flawless relationship, but the beauty is; we’ll be able to accept and love the best & worst things about each other.

We shouldn’t forget the “friend” part. Inside the relationship, I want you to be my bestfriend. I want to be comfortable with you. I want to hang-out with you, I want to talk, to laugh, act and be me without fear that you might get disappointed. I want us to continue to grow as a person, to discover new things about each other everyday.

I want you to tell me how much you love me until my heart memorizes it.

I am working on being the right woman for you.

I’ll wait…’cause I know that you’ll be worth it.

I would know if it’s already you, because I’ll feel the ‘magic’.

And we can truly say that we certainly found each other.

Your Future Girlfriend,

Charmaine
