The Lion Who Lost His Roar

Fear keeps me awake till the dead of night
Steps infront of me seems like miles
I look to the sky for an exchange of minds
When in the silence laying still,
A shady thicket thorny grows infront of my eyes
I must run to my king
And pay my testimony
Do my thoughts betray me?
I chant the name of hope in these dire times of mine
A heart so strong her figment roars thunderous
Beckon to the wind of wisdom
Flowing in and out of me
Yet troubled, a splintered message from the mare
A cry of light finds her way through twilight
Her heart shielded of the solace
She worrys no more
Beneath the coils of humility and salvation
A tampered oath sits and waits
I am forced to befriend you dear child
I shall hope for your cleansing each day as it comes
For my fear is this, turbulent one
I may be the lion who lost his roar
