This is one of the deepest poems I have ever written. It describes something that happened in real life to me. I had a really close friend, and this poem explains what happened to our friendship. It is really sad, but I'm doing my best to move on.

I just gotta let go,

But I don’t want to.

This friendship rope,

Is falling apart.

Ever since she came along,

Our rope was starting to break.

As ya’ll became closer friends,

You pulled harder on our rope.

Our rope started to break,

And now it’s basically broken.

There’s nothing I can do now,

That’ll repair our rope of friendship.

I’ve started becoming more lonely,

Because you sat with her, ignoring me.

It hurts so bad,

To see you with her, instead of me.

I thought we were really close friends,

Forever and until the end.

You were the closest friend I’ve ever had,

But now you’re barely as close as you were before.

 Tears fill my eyes,

Thinking of the great friendship we had.

But it was like a vapor,

Now it’s gone.

Gone, forever now,

And never will be mended again.

I’m tired and weary,

From pulling so hard on our rope.

But now I can’t hold on,

Too much longer.

I realize something now,

Very important.

I just gotta let go,

But I don’t want to.

But I’m tired and weary,

And need to save my strength to endure the pain.

I gotta be strong,

And move on.

So I’m gonna let go,

And start enduring the pain.

Goodbye forever,

I hope ya’ll have a great friendship.

I’m gonna move on,

And try to forget all the pain you caused me.
