We went to the beach,

That one summer day.

And you said the most beautiful words,

You said that you would love me forever.

I said I would too,

I would always love you.

You were stuck to my heart,

Just like the sand to the beach.

You drew a heart in the sand,

Saying that this heart would be stuck there forever.

Just like our hearts,

Would be stuck together forever.

We shared a lot of fun times that day and others,

Laughing, swimming, and being happy.

Our heart in the sand was still there,

At the end of those special days.

But those were the last days it was there,

Because one day, you erased it from the sand.

You took that heart and mine,

And ripped them apart.

Our hearts will never be together forever,

Our heart in the sand has washed away.

We’re separated,

And all I can do is cry.

You said our love would last forever,

But all you said was a lie.

Because now,

Just like that,

Our hearts were ripped apart.
