A thought provoking poem. I think all of us hide away some shame, some more than others. Some let it "eat away" at them more than others. And as you express it can be fearful to harbour something shameful. It is easy to let the guilt and shame ruin your life - princess Onike sometimes I think this may even be God's punishment? You do something wrong you wallow in the guilt. Anyway I am rattling on - I really liked the concept behind this poem.
"Something everybody has but nobody acknowleges." You pretty much nailed it. I agree with Anna Therese, this is a thought-provoking poem. If we did not feel the "shame beyond logic" it would be easy to repeat the sin. Shame is a safety mechanism, without it we would be lower than animals. As Mark Twain put it, "Man is the only animal that blushes. Or needs to."
Usually very true. You guys forgot the word sin here?: "A shameful is what you try to forget everyday". And you used periods like twice-- only twice. And your comma usage is inconsistent. Oh, sorry, I guess I just notice those kinda things ;) Anyway, yeah, I like it :)
thanks that's ok u can correct me it's the only way i could learn and write better
clever poem it makes you think even if your do not believe in god but you can hide away from your shameful sin :) i really liked it and i hope you carry on writing :)
