This is a poem that I wrote a while ago when I wasn't talking to my best friend. (We're all good now.)

In this world of darkness,

You were my light,

My breath of air from the drowning pool called night.

You were there for me

Through thick and thin

And you showed me how to use my inner strength from within.

We fought like all friends do

Thinking the other isn't right

I knew it killed you, but I thought I wouldn't let the real you out of my sight.

I was wrong.

I made the mistake.

And now she's gone

I put all I had at sake.

You were there for me through it all

And now you're gone

So what the hell?

I move through this empty world alone,

Fooled by my own selfishness.

I guess in the end, I am just a cold hearted flower, but probably a little

Less.
