This is the 6th of 7 poems I wrote about one person, a saga I like to call "Falling Deeper and Deeper in Love." In this one, I am afraid of feeling for him, and so I have highly ambivalent feelings.
This is pertaining to hopelessness and fear of loving and being loved.

When light turns to dark,

You're the star to guide me out.

When my heart hurts too much,

You're the cure to all my doubts.

You hurt me with every word you say,

Yet your eyes stop my sharp inveighs.

Nothing good is ever certain,

So to keep from harm, I draw the curtain.

Everywhere I go, I'm reminded of you,

And my heart starts to ache.

No matter what I do,

You won't leave my thoughts.

Like night and day,

Yin and Yang, black and white,

Are my feelings for you.

I'm on the edge of a cliff, don't know what to do.

There's a line between love and hate,

Who knows where we will stand?

Who knows if this shall be my fate?

To walk this road without your hand.
