Mama’s love

How incomparable is mama’s love

So warm and peaceful as a dove

That love indisputable

From a heart most adorable

My lawyer, my mother

You are my 24:7 defender

Yes, your own life was in danger

Cos you wanted me in a manger

She opt to be my slave

All to have my life safe

So without a voice she worked

While others watched and mocked

When the airlines say “mama first”

You say “no, my baby first”

So, you made my safety your priority

Leaving your own in insecurity

When in my cot I awake

Mama’s smile was there like hotcake

“Come my baby”

“Take me my lady”

When my troubles pile in layers

Mama, you went down in prayers

“O God safe my baby”

That was the prayer of my lady

Today I try to pay back the care

Asking God to help with a share

Cos even if my life should double

I never could pay for all the trouble

One day your heart will retire

But your love will never expire

So I write to tell my story

Of the love that knows no boundary

Mama, you are special. It is not because you gave me birth, but because you are mama.
