So beware, butterfly, sitting on a vein
There will come a time where you're never whole again.

Oh, little butterfly, sitting atop scarred skin,

Pray your owner never loses hope and gives in,
To the silver calling out to her, in her hand,
Or else, butterfly, your days will finally end.

You've been awake too long, butterfly,
Atop scars that will never fade,
Your owner can only cry, butterfly,
As she lives out her days.

Oh sweet, serene butterfly, blue and white,
The reason you're not broken is because she still fights,
But the time will arise when she's lost all hope,
And will go for her wrist, so she can cope.

She'll betray all promises, if only to bleed,
Because that silver blade is all that she needs,
To end her pain, on this black earth,
She's long ago lost her self worth.

So beware, butterfly, sitting on a vein,
There will come a time where you're never whole again.
And if that time comes, very, very soon,
Pray that a wing is all you will lose.
