He Holds Her Down

He holds her down...

Despite the shrill fragments of her remaining voice,

her only force,

darting out her throat,

he holds her down

He holds her down

Whispers to her, telling her she’ll be fine while

at the same time going deeper,

going faster,

thrusting harder

And still

He holds her down

She’s limp now;

Tired of resisting,

tired of twisting,

not willing to give up and yet

she’s limp now

“Will he ever let go?

Will he ever let go?”

He holds her down
