you show me your colors

bright and vivid,

you say to me

its time to live it.

you paint me your picture,

I turn away.

you never gave me a chance,

to say what I had to say.

where am I in your painting?

I see my face,

my body,

and my eyes,

but truly am I?

all I see is a lie.

the fact that you don’t see,

what is really me,

kills me inside.

I dig deeper,

and attempt to hide.

tell you enough to show that I care

I run my hand through your hair,

one last thing you need to hear

before I go and disappear.

find my story

locked away in

the dark depths of my doubt,

spill my words,

and see what I'm really about.

once you know me,

know my mind

and my heart,

then hold my hand,

and we can start.
