The cigarette disconcerted him to say the least, yet this particular article remained the primary subject of his focus. For long he pondered it, its idling linear curvature, that possessed a subtle seductive quality. A radiance that caressed his insides, stirred the very subconscious levels with which he scrutinised the object in question. By what artifice could he rid himself. For each preceding second drew association with the subsequent inevitability. His lips softly blanketed the filter tip, his arm performing a languid arch, before dutifully igniting the opposable end of the cigarette that had captivated him so. He most certainly the epitome of addiction, an addict to his own sense of self satisfaction. Radiating in the presence of plume that dispersed across his uninhabitable space.
