A poem explaining what loneliness feels like. The title was originally 'Darkness', but they said something already had that title. Enjoy!

Empty Tears

Raging knives piercing,

The mysterious depth of

My eyes –

Shining brightly,

A beacon of hatred to all enemies,

But missing the beacon of happiness and love

To all friends.

My cheeks,

Soft pillows balancing

The salty liquid;

Rivers racing lakes

Down and down and down.

But nobody notices.

My beacons have been blinded,

My staccato cries cut short.

Darkness stomping silently

On my last waft of hopeless hope,

And engulfs my world.

Darkness is the sky,

Nothingness the sea,

And silence, the birds’ songs.

But nobody notices.
