The Definition of Anger

Not anger nor hatred,

But a bittersweet paradox of shattered love.

Red leaks into the light of your eyes;

Purple, slicing delicately into your heart;

Brown hides sheepishly in the corners of your sclera,

Itching furiously to free its restless tears.

Black holds them back –

Paired with red and red and red,

Blinding all thoughtfulness together,

Blinding pink and green and blue into non-existence.

Invisible onions torture you,

Forcing out invisible tears that will bite your eyes,

But stay with the shadow of brown.

There is no white.
