I am one of those you don’t see every day.
One of the many that feels this way.
We are the ones who strive our hardest.
We are the ones told to make it the farthest.

We are the ones that are never cheered for.
We are the ones that tried to achieve more.
We are the ones who know,
No one, looks at second place.

We strive our best.
We strive our hardest.
We strive not for the achievement,
But we strive for the acknowledgment.

We stand strong when we fail,
and weep in the solitude of our minds.
Our minds are the homes in which we reside.
Thinking of our failure to please.

To us our souls are locked away,
To be freed in a later day.
To us our souls will hold us back,
and we will always believe the mind when it tells us that.

We hate you because of your discontentment,
And wish you gone for asking of more.
All we wish for is what you will never give,
And that which you will never give is that which we live for.

We never receive what we want because you will not give,
That of which is so easy to give.
It is our lives and our minds cry out for it,
And yet you never give.

Acknowledgment is the key to our lives.
