You strum like a bass,

and me more like a ukelele.

There's a fence as our cautious boundary,

a little picket fence,

i can still see over and want you in my yard but there's a rose garden along the edge with too many thorns.

You n me wouldn't sing melodious rythyms together,

and I...or would it be you?

would always be off tune and,

harmony is not our forte.

Neither is hanging onto your every word because i lost all of my hooks,

and all the coat hangers in my closet just hold my winter coats withdaily reminders in the pockets not to care about you anymore.

we get along as well as lions and hyenas, and really,

i do feel like a little barking dog at a manely man,

because all of the words that run out of your mouth drip with stairs that you try to descend down to me,

even though were the same height.

Well let me tell you this,

I'm not a basement and I wont let you build another story on top of me.

So get off your high donkey and stop being as ASS.

Cause once you get up close,

you'd see your fingers are too lanky andthey wouldn't mesh well with mine,

and our feet would get tangled when we walked off into the sunset together.

But i still want you in my yard.

or else im alone with this little barking dog and roses that hurt when you admire them.
