Wistfully, I gaze out of my window

Wondering what could have been,

Puzzling over the jigsaw pieces

Of my life.

I’ll admit it.

I thought I knew what I was doing

At the time.

But you live and learn

And as life goes on

You do learn

That your so called dreams

Are not exactly as they seem.

Dreams.

Wishing

Watching

Waiting

Wistfully

For the clouds to part and the

Star to shine.
