this is no poem, it is just something I need to say but I cannot say to the person until I write it elsewhere.

Its happening all over again

The recurring theme of my life

I try to avoid it but it always comes back

Like a strong magnet pulled to pure metal

The story of my life I am the relic, I am past tense

I introduce people to other people

I introduce my friends to my other friends

The people I thought to be my true friends

And they leave together

Leaving me in the dust from the old dusty road of my life

I am like a gun that is thrown away after its done being used

The violin that is replaced by a better one

I could stop this cycle

I could be selfish and keep them all to myself

But I do not, therefore I lose them

I lose all that is precious to me

All but my creativity

That is locked in an unbreakable box

No one can touch it but me

I lose my friends to other friends

Those friends become lovers

As they become lovers I become a rotting piece of bread

Forgotten in the old x-men lunchbox in the closet

I am the relicm I am past tense
