Sitting in a merry go round

Watching the people pass by

What are their stories?

Sitting in a merry go round

Through a sea of smiling faces I can see one looking back

Held his gaze for just a second

The hair was gray, The face wrinkled,

But right there, staring at me,

Was a pair of bright young eyes

That spokeof long days in the sun,

Days of happiness long gone.

Only the faintest memory left to hold.

Looking into that great void,

I realize that soon this day would go.

All that's left is memory, long gone...

Sitting in a merry go round.
