Sometimes we just forget

The way life used to be

Without cars or money

And just plain oceans and trees

There was once time

This generation does not know

Has not seen nor heard

A time when the air was cleaner

When the world was young

And everybody, everybody had a song to be sung

The world is getting older and we are forgetting

Life is not suppose to be

Work and rush and not being free

The world was supposed to be a place

Where green gows continously

Rivers run everso freely

Animals are plentiful

And we are free

There should not be seven hour work shifts

Or taxes or guns or war

Yes this world was supposed to have been set up so percfectly

Where did we go wrong?

It ended that day we chose a king, a leader, a chief

We say we need and that we do

But there has yet been one to prove worthy

So let us take a look back and reflect

On what could have been

If maybe we hadn't forgotten...
