Mia's heart has been broken many times but this time, it hurts the worst because she truly thought that Scott was different.
Instead of the strong, burly type like she normally goes for... he's a total dweeb and real sweet.
Or so she thought until he breaks up with her - through text.
So she goes to buy ice-cream, her one comfort food, with her dog... only when she comes back outside, she's shocked to find her dog gone - having run off into the woods.
So, she stupidly follows the dog in to find her and drag her back.
Only within the woods, she meets... something. Something not quite human, something - evil.
She manages to escape but only because it lets her and that very night she gets a text from her ex asking her to meet him the next day.
So she does... but he's changed - a lot.
He's almost a different person entirely - but what's brought the change one?
