Mother Heartbroken

I say goodbye
You stand frozen
Lovingly on your perch
A pain deeply buried
Proof on your face
Your spirit is broken
Resolve so splintered
Your beautiful black hair
Turning grey
Your olive skin
Wrinkled
Depressed
A frown
I can never change
So much confusion
You can’t understand
The voices so vibrant
Urges so powerful
A hatred for this city
My heart beats death if I remain
Conscience so broken
Anger swells within
My sanity defeated
Mania
Utter destruction of a soul once pure
No choices
Empty will
Giving in
Embracing
To love the darkness of my soul
Yet you extend your arms
From your perch so golden
Saying never run
So pure with love
I withdraw
My choice is clear
It’s encompassing
Embracing the madness
I cannot stand another moment
Trapped in oblivion
Between mountains of obscurity
Will lay my cold dead corpse
A victim of uncertainty
From my heart still remains hope
Hope there is help
That I can mend my broken heart
I just need to escape
Experience
Enjoy
Have life erupt within
As my memory vanishes
My childhood lost to me
I’ll never forget you
Please don’t give up
I’m always your son
The boy who followed
Your only child
With the remnants
Of the boy you once knew
I just wanted to say
For the first time
Since I was but a flake
My dear, I do love you
Goodbye
