The Anxiety Society

Silence foreign in realm of thought
With a clarity rare, stolen, starving
Sound preludes discovery
Schizophrenic neurasthenia
Nothing surrounds, envelopes
Searching, failure, vaporous entity escapes
Frustration at a boiling point
Hope of relief undiscovered
Sting of reality a blur
Colors melt, bend, dim
Shape shifters delight
The stars invade my recesses
Sound fluctuates so empty so  hollow
Touch, sensation dull and dead
Disconnect unstoppable, approaching
Forever betrayed by the light
Panic ensues unmarked but true
Pain, sharp, coursing racing
Fatigue building, overtaking
Attempts to calm so vain
The peek is reached
Explosions eradicate sanity
Paralyzed with fear
Paranoia permeating soul
Death so imminent
Yet a spark ignites
I will survive
Control will be attained
Time will pass
I shape these events
The end is retreating
I am unbeatable
Fear, Paranoia, fatigue subside
Failures in their quest
My throne of sanity intact
The day continues
All that is left
The silence in this room
